1) How is Face Slimming performed? Is this a major surgery?
Botulinum Toxin A (Botox® or Dysport®) is administered over the jaw areas to soften the masseter muscles, thus, achieving a slimmer and sharper jawline. It is not a major surgery. It involves few small injections and causes only slight discomfort, The whole procedures last less than 10 minutes. Numbing cream can be applied prior to the procedure make it virtually painless. For clients with noticeable fat pad at the face, adjuvant mesotherapy can be performed to dissolve such fat.
2) How long does the result last?
You will expect the results to last for 6 months after the first treatment. For a more sustainable result, a booster treatment may be required after the 3rd month. With repetitive treatments, the results is cumulative and last progressively longer. Results can also be maintained longer if you change your dietary behavior that includes avoid chewing hard, solid foods e.g. nuts, sugar canes, bones and chewing gums.
3) Are there any side effects?
There may be minimal side effects like injection marks or bruises, which is mild.
4) How is this treatment differed from conventional surgeries?
Conventional surgeries such as jaw shaping surgery or liposuction are extremely invasive and associated with much longer downtime, pain and carry high procedural related risk.
