How to Treat Acne

• Oral and/or Topical Antibiotics
  Oral and/or topical antibiotics help reduce the colonisation of Propionibacterium acnes, controlling bacterial growth and minimising inflammation associated with acne.

• Prescriptive Topical Acne Creams
  Prescriptive topical acne creams are available in various formulations and strengths. These creams help reduce comedones and excess oil production, improve inflammation, and gently exfoliate the skin to prevent pore blockage.

• Chemical Peels
  Chemical peels are used to clear acne more effectively by exfoliating the skin and unclogging pores. Repeated treatments help prevent pore blockage while levelling out superficial acne scars and improving overall skin clarity.

• Laser Treatment
  Laser treatments improve acne in different ways depending on the type of laser used. Generally, lasers help reduce sebaceous gland secretion to minimise oily skin, exfoliate clogged pores, reduce redness from active or chronic inflammation, decrease pore size, and resurface deeper acne scars.
